Obituary of Arloine J. Shear

Greece ~ Arloine J. Shear (Weidman), 92, slipped peacefully to the other side on February 1, 2018, in Le Roy, NY, joining her husband, brother, parents, many relatives and friends who await her there.

     Arloine was born, raised and lived her entire life in Greece, NY.  She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Shear and parents, Reid and Bernice Weidman. She is survived by her two daughters, Roberta (Jim) Saart of Hudson, MA, and Virginia (Sue Slate) Shear of Le Roy, NY. Also by 4 grandchildren, David (Kathy) Saart of Paxton, MA, Michelle (John) Anderson of Stow, MA, Jason (Kim) Saart of Stow, MA, and Travis (Leslie) Milner of Davis, CA, 10 adoring great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Audrey McIntosh, nieces and nephews Marilyn (Weidman) Urbonis, Dan Weidman, Donna (Weidman) Skelton, Diane (McIntosh) Hemphill and Steven McIntosh, plus many, many cousins. She leaves her dearest friend from childhood, Carolyn Stewart of Rochester, NY and special “new cousin,” James Perry of PA. 

     At her request there will be no calling hours, but a memorial/remembrance celebration will be held at a later date.

     Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
