Mr. Gamble was a terrific hockey player who my father(Canadian born) my brother and I loved watching and winning Calder Cups. Mr. Gamble was kind enough to pose for a photo during pre-game warmups in 1966 when fans were permitted along the boards to watch. I still have that photo and cherish it.
My father told us to watch for his quick release and deadly wrist shot. He not only had great hockey skills, he made a wonderful impression on a 12 year old boy with his patience and generosity while he stood waiting while got just the right picture of him. He was the model of a true sportsman. My father,brother,and I were fortunate to attend 100's of hockey games and see our favorite left winger in his Amerk uniform.
