Obituary of James V. Marshall

LeRoy ~ James V. Marshall, age 72, of W. Bergen Road, passed away at home early Friday morning (Aug. 3, 2018) in the loving presence of his family.

     He was born May 15, 1946 in Long Branch, N.J., a son of the late James P. and Barbara Baumann Marshall.

     Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, who not only enjoyed being with his family and spending time in the Catskill mountains with his Grandmother, but also enjoyed sailing, skiing, photography and motocross and was also known for the love of his dogs.  He was also a very proud veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served on the USS Sea Lion during the Vietnam Era.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Norma Houser Marshall; his daughters, Robin Langmaid (Samoni Hazle) and Ameka (Ronald) Cooper; eight grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, R.C. (Diana) Marshall; nephew, Luke and niece, Leslie (Steve)Pont  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Scott Edsall.

     A casual celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 19th, from 3:30 ~ 7:00 PM, with a service at 4:00 PM, at the West Lodge in Churchville Park, (N Main St, Churchville, NY 14428).

     The family would also like to thank Dr. David Newman, HomeCare & Hospice team including Alisa, Joe and John and the MIT team of Mary Margaret, Denise and Jennifer, for their compassionate care.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either HomeCare & Hospice, Vietnam Veterans of America or Volunteers for Animals.
