Obituary of Theodore J. Platek

Pavilion ~ Theodore J. Platek, age 98, of South Lake Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning (August 19, 2018) at Suzanne's Comfort Care Home in Perry.

     Ted was born on January 5, 1920 in Bethany Center, a son of the late Michael and Cecelia Wujek Platek.

     He was predeceased by his wife, Marian Barry Platek on November  24, 1989.  Ted is survived by his sons, Gary (Gerrie) Platek of Rochester and Randy (Donna) Platek of Pawleys Island, SC; daughter, Gayle Strathearn of Pavilion; grandchildren, John (Heather) Platek, Jeff Platek, Ryan (Tina) Platek, Jason (Sarah) Platek, Shannon (Ken) Blair, Kim (Josh) Kinney and Kurt (Lindsay) Strathearn; great-grandchildren, Luke, Tyler, Alanna, Isla, Noelle, Malin, Bea, Chase and Dylan; sister, Delphine Schiavetta of Bethpage, NY; sister-in-law, Monica Barry of Pavilion, along with many nieces and nephews.

     Ted's love of baseball and the New York Yankees lasted his whole life.

     Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
