Obituary of Janet M. Savoy Elliott

LeRoy ~ Janet M. Savoy Elliott, age 79, of Craigie Street, passed away Saturday evening (Sept. 1, 2018) at Crossroads House in Batavia, surrounded by her loving family.

     She was born April 8, 1939 in Batavia, a daughter of the late John and Gladys Sherman Hackett.

     Janet will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister, who cherished time spent with her family.  She enjoyed bowling, bingo, camping and going to Curves.

     She is survived by her children, Susan (Terry) Maher of Bergen, Gladys Patmore of Churchville, Howard (Laurie) Savoy of North East, PA and Pamela (Mark) Wright of Corinth, ME; step-son, Mark Elliott; grandchildren, Tera (Chad) Daniel, Evan Maher (Abby Bennett), Jennifer (D.J.) Klein, Erin (Justin) Calmes, Becky (Tim) Wagner, Tristan Wright, Kacey Wright, Ian Wright and Ty Wright; great-grandchildren, Novac, Tanner, Tyler, Hudson, Colby, Gabe and Keagan; siblings, Beverly Englerth of FL, John (Cheryl) Hackett of Stafford and Sharon (Tom) Gates of York; sister-in-law, Darlene Hackett of PA, along with many nieces and nephews.

     She was predeceased by her husbands, Howard K. Savoy (1977) and Elwood "Jim" Elliott (2007), brother, James Hackett and sister, Lois (Robert) Pilc.

     Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M.  Interment in Machpelah Cemetery will follow.
