LeRoy ~ Gene "Scotty" Scott, age 86, of East Main Road, passed away Monday evening (August 5, 2019) at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

     He was born June 5, 1933 in Rochester, NY, son of the late Ernest and Mabel Wyman Scott.

     Gene will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, who had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes.  He had a love for woodworking and also enjoyed camping and reminiscing with friends.  He was a proud veteran, having served with the U.S. Army and also worked many years with the Rochester Laborers Local 435.

     He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Sharron Laney Scott; his children, Linda (Charles) Metz of Leicester, Kenneth (Carol Durney) Scott of LeRoy, Keith (Carol) Scott of Pavilion, Lisa (Kevin) Schicker of York, Kevin (Jen) Scott of Leicester and Kelly Scott of LeRoy, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friends.

     Family and friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 2 ~ 6 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19).  His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 12 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy.  Interment with military honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Mercy Parish or the American Legion.
