LeRoy ~ Vincent J. "Jim" Gravanda, age 83, of Wescott Road, passed away early Thursday morning (October 10, 2019) at United Memorial Medical Center.

     He was born August 13, 1936 in Batavia, a son of the late John and Marion Gentile Gravanda.

     Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and dear friend.  Family and his faith were his priorities.  He was a very athletic and competitive man, who enjoyed playing cards and being active in the Knights of Columbus.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret Cordaro Gravanda; his children, Vincent (Anne Canale ) Gravanda Jr., Thomas (Shirley) Gravanda, Julie (Timothy) LaPorte, Ronald (Beth) Gravanda, Donna (Michael) Steffenella and Paul (Keena) Gravanda; grandchildren, Stefanie (Mark) Williams, Timothy LaPorte Jr., Clinton LaPorte, Vincent Gravanda III, Samantha Gravanda, Thomas Gravanda Jr., Colin Gravanda, Madison Gravanda, Garrett Gravanda, Olivia Steffenella, Oliana Steffenella, Brennan Gravanda, Isabella Gravanda, Sophia Gravanda and Avery Gravanda; great-grandchildren, Elle Williams and Liam Gravanda; siblings, Connie DiAntonio, John Gravante and Irene Lillis; brother-in-law, Merle Adams, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     Jim was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.

     Family and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.  Interment will be private.
