Since I am Neva's niece, I just wanted to share a couple of memories I have of her. When I was a little girl, my mother asked her to come to the house and give me a home permanent. It was all new to me and she was very patient with me. I felt like a grown up little girl. Neva and James spent every Christmas Eve at the Frank Hettrick house where all the Hettrick aunts and uncles were very generous to my brothers and me. None of them had any children so we were probably spoiled. I looked forward to seeing her whenever I went to the post office to mail letters or get the mail. I moved to Rochester in 1965 so I didn't she her very often. However, after James and my parents passed away, I tried to meet with her in August to take her to lunch for her birthday. I will miss seeing her, but it was time for her to join her family and friends who had gone before her.
