Obituary of Ethel W. Cain

LeRoy ~ Ethel (Waterman) Cain, age 94, formerly of Fargo Road, Stafford, passed away Wednesday morning (March 26, 2014) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. Mrs. Cain was born February 26, 1920 in Stafford, a daughter of the late Morris and Bertha Hillabusch Waterman. She will be remembered as a true "Matriarch", with a very loving devotion to her family in her roles of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful cook, who made sure her family and guests were well fed when they visited. She is survived by her husband, Edward T. Cain of LeRoy, her sons; Gary (Sue) Culbertson of Richfield Springs, NY and Gordy Culbertson of Stafford, grandchildren; Dawn Culbertson, Lisa Culbertson, Charles Culbertson, Rebecca Forbes, Erin (James) Hall and Christian (Amy) Culbertson, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gordon Waterman and Florence Gillett. Friends of the family may call on Friday, April 4, from 5 ~ 8 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 11:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Peter's Church), 44 Lake Street, LeRoy with interment to follow in Morganville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, Sunshine Fund, 10 Munson Street, LeRoy, NY 14482.
