Obituary of Shirley A. Dimick

LeRoy ~ Shirley A. Dimick, age 82, of Mill Street, passed away early Tuesday morning (Oct. 27, 2020) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     She was born August 5, 1938 in Batavia, a daughter of the late John and Josephine Baglio Maida.

     Shirley will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend.  She was a caring and dedicated care provider for her husband of 55 years, William.  She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking for her family and friends.

     She will be sadly missed by her children, Barbara (John) Joy of LeRoy, John (Lorraine Puleo) Dimick of LeRoy and Steve (Sami Rapone) Dimick of LeRoy; grandchildren, Katherine "Katie" (Matt Morley) Joy, Michael (Haley) Joy and Jonathan Dimick; great-grandchild, MacKenzie Morley; sister, Dorothy Halligan; sisters-in-law, Diane Dimick, Lois Dimick and Sylvia Dimick, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Dimick in 2015 and brothers-in-law, Jerry Halligan, Richard Dimick, Clayton Dimick and Rodney Dimick.

     Family and friends are invited to attend her Rite of Christian Burial on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy. (Face masks and social distancing required).  Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be private.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either LeRoy Ambulance Service or LeRoy Village Green Sunshine Fund.
