Obituary of Thomas J. McGee Jr.

Wellsville ~ Thomas J. McGee Jr., age 64, formerly of LeRoy, passed away early Thursday morning (June 5, 2014) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mr. McGee was born May 15, 1950 in Batavia, N.Y., a son of the late Thomas and Rose Iannello McGee Sr. He lived in Wellsville, N.Y., where he was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a past little league coach. He was known for his friendly, dedicated service and good sense of humor as proprietor of Express Food Mart in Alfred, N.Y. He enjoyed time with his family, the outdoors, history, old movies, and the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. Mr. McGee is survived by his devoted wife, Martha Wood McGee; his sons, Michael (Tiffany) McGee of Goodyear, AZ, Mark McGee of Wellsville and Brian McGee of Wellsville; his grandchildren, Joshua, Emily and Logan; his brothers, James McGee of Batavia and Gerald McGee of Hamlin; his sisters, Elizabeth (James) Kerwin of LeRoy and Jane Green of Corfu, along with aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Monday, June 9 at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, 17 Maple Ave., Wellsville, N.Y. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy, N.Y. at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Allegany County Cancer Services, Inc., 100 South Highland Avenue, Wellsville, N.Y. 14895.
