Obituary of Linda M. Bailey

LeRoy ~ Linda M. Bailey, age 60, of Linwood Road, passed away unexpectedly at home Friday morning (January 7, 2022).

     She was born September 10, 1961 in Dansville, N.Y., a daughter of Roseann Runfola Watkins and the late Ralph A. Watkins.

     Linda will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend. Her infectious smile and outgoing personality connected with everyone she came into contact with.  She graduated from Keshequa Central School in 1979 and married the love of her life, John Bailey, in 1982.   

     Linda’s work as a secretary led her to jobs with SUNY Geneseo, many years with the Mt. Morris Police Department and the Caledonia Central School District.  She was a devoted member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Geneseo and enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, singing, reading and watching the birds at her feeders.

     She will be sadly missed by her husband, John; her son, Adam (Margaret) Bailey of Nashville, TN; her mother, Roseann Watkins of Leicester; her sister, Mary Lou (Christopher) George of Dansville; brothers-in-law, Greg Zintel of Perry, Mark Bailey of VA and Tom (Lisa) Bailey of NC; aunt, Rosalie (Jay) Brumbaugh of Eden, NY; uncle, Anthony Runfola of Leicester; loving feline companion, Daisy, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

     In addition to her father, Ralph, she was predeceased by her sister, Rocky Watkins Zintel.

     Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 13 from 4 ~ 6 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 4232 Reservoir Road, Geneseo, NY, where her Service of Remembrance will be held at 6:00 PM.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

     Contributions in Memory of Linda may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church or to her family.
