LeRoy ~ Virginia G. Mancuso, age 96, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     She was born September 6, 1926 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Clyde and Beatrice Woodrick Baker.

     Virginia was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.  She was a graduate of the Catherine McCauley School of Nursing and worked for many years at St. Jerome’s Hospital as an operating room nurse.  She was also involved in the family business, Empire State Motor Express, with her husband, Francis for many years.  Virginia was a member of the Finger Lakes Afghan Hounds Club, the LeRoy Red Hat Society and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and the New York Yankees.

     She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Franceen (Louis) Ferrara and Lisa (Michael) Filio; special niece, Peggy (Baker) Dilcher, along with many other nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Francis; brother, Donald Baker and her sisters, Olive Beatrice “Bim” Baker and Raya Baker.

     Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.  Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Wilmot Cancer Center or Lollypop Farm.
