Dear Kent family especially Bill, David, Debbie, and Connie, I just learned of Jean’s passing. I was doing a Google search to find their address in order to send a thinking of you card to them, and I came across her obituary. The picture looks just like I remember,Jean! A beautiful smile, twinkling eyes, and all kinds of fun energy! I remember all of the auctions that are two families did together. When I wasn’t running auction sheets from the clerk to the cashier, I would be helping Jean and Eula with the concessions. It was always delight to be around her. She was so kind and so much fun! I’m so sorry for your loss, but I truly know that she is in a better place! My family and I sent all of our love to you folks. Beth Hurlburt Hensley (Russ and Jane’s oldest )

I had the pleasure of meeting Jean many years ago while working for the family. She was a wonderful kind woman. She taught me what an osage orange is and I think of her every time I see one used in a holiday wreath. My most sincere condolences to the family.

I did Jeans nails for many years and looked forward to her visits every 2 weeks . She was always so good to me and rarely came to an appointment without some little trinket or candy to share . We laughed together often and shed a tear or 2 as well over the years . When she became unable to drive I began doing her nails in her home and felt honored to be invited there . She was a colorful woman who always handled herself with Grace . She’ll be missed by so many . Condolences to her family at this very difficult time .

Neil and I are saddened by Jean’s passing. We will always remember our trip to Hawaii to attend the Holstein auction, our dinners together, her wonderful pies. She and Bill’s dedication to the 4-h auction and the wonderful work they did together to help us selling our farm. You were special Jean Kent. R.I.P.
