LeRoy ~ Mary Ann (Stevenson) McGirr, age 87, of West Avenue, passed away early Monday morning (June 24, 2024) at home in the loving presence of her family.

     She was born July 21, 1936 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Nelson and Mary Walsh Stevenson.

     Mary Ann was a well known and very popular beautician and proprietor of Mary Ann's Beauty Salon, which operated in LeRoy for many years. She was also a member of St. Peter's Church and the Genesee Valley Bottle Collectors Association.

     She is survived by her son, John (Barb) Vescovi of LeRoy; grandson, John Vescovi (Sarah); great-granddaughter, Celeste Mary Vescovi and dear friend, Dick O’Shea.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Karen Stevenson; her companion, Ken Cornell and a dear friend, Carl Seaburg.

     Family and friends may call on Friday, June 28 from 4 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19).  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.  Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, 53 W. Main St., LeRoy, NY 14482 or LeRoy Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 56, LeRoy, NY 14482
