To the dear family of Ange; he was a great football player (tackle) for LeRoy High School. We were both seniors… but I played for the Batavia Blue Devils. As the BHS quarterback, Ange’s eyes were always on me. He was a tough tackle! Sad for us we lost that game against LeRoy! We became close friends. During our senior year we both ended up at the St. Jerome Hospital.....Ange with an infection and me with a bad appendix. We survived our stay at St. Jerome and were drafted into the U.S. Army. After basic training, Ange was sent to advanced training as a Military Policeman. He was sent to Washington, D.C. as an Honor Guard. He fit the part perfectly as a tall and slim Honor Guard while I was sent to England as a U.S. Army Medic. We were both discharged in 1958. God bless the Steffenella family and his friends.
